How do I play on one of these servers?

Most servers accept a standard Tibia client pointed at their address, which usually means running an IP changer or a launcher that lets you set a custom host, port and protocol version. Some teams ship their own client instead, in which case download it from their website and no extra tool is needed.

Use a different password here, on the server you play, and on any official account. Open Tibia servers are run by hobbyists, and reusing a password across them is how accounts get taken.

Is listing a server free?

Yes. Adding a server costs nothing and it will be checked, ranked and shown like any other.

Servers that grow past 500 concurrent players are asked to hold a highlight to stay listed — at that size a listing here is worth real traffic, and the promotion is what pays for running the checks.

How are the numbers measured?

Every server is queried directly on its game port, from once a minute for the busiest listings down to every few hours for ones that have been offline a while. No server reports its own numbers here.

Uptime is the share of those checks that answered, over the last 30 days. Points combine the 30-day average player count, uptime and recent votes, with votes losing half their weight each week so a single burst cannot hold a position forever.

Somebody else added my server. How do I take it over?

Claim it from its page and you will be given a short phrase. Put that phrase in your server’s message of the day, wait for the next check, and the listing becomes yours — only somebody who can edit the server config can do that, which is exactly the point.

The same mechanism removes a listing: set the message of the day to “otservers.org-delete” and it will be taken down within a few checks.

Why was my server removed?

Reporting player counts, uptime or records that our own checks contradict is the usual reason. So is combining several worlds behind one login server to inflate a single listing, or counting characters parked on trainers as active players.

If you think a removal was wrong, reply to the notification and it will be looked at by a person.

Can I put my server’s status on my forum signature?

Yes — every server page has a signature image with copy-ready link, BBCode and HTML snippets. It updates itself as the player count changes.
